Unheard Prayers
Clasp your hands, and begin to pray
To your god, and hope he listens.
Begin to recite your list of wishes,
Believing he cares for what you say.
Thinking he lies on those clouds,
Staring down at his creations,
We ungratefully tell our frustration,
As if we each were one in the crowd.
Truthfully, he hears and sees us.
Terribly, he denies what we pray,
Yet, each and every single day
We ask once more for success. **
