A reverse grocery list

On multiples stored in the same place, I write "1 of 3, 2 of 3, etc"
so i know when I've opened my last jar or can. I do this with
cranbery sauce - I can't bear to sit down to chicken in any form and
not have it.
I do it with tomato paste too.

Those I'd keep - hedge against inflation? and just make a note

next ten years.

I'll overlook your last comment. Yes, AR, admittedly. And I DO have
a needed list. I just didn't want to forget the extras I have tucked
here and there and keep thinking I needed em.

I use a roll of adding machine paper for that. It used to hang on the
wall, but it's just sitting on my counter (next to the toaster) now.
It also holds my pencil, very handy. ;)

Nope, no raised part. No indentations either... it's completely flat.

Mine are "no name" cast iron, so no value. Some pieces came to me via
my mother and she through her mother, I don't know the history beyond

myself from the hardware store back in the acquisition stage of my
life.

Doug,

I have a window sill spice rack and also use the above counter lazy
Susan cabinet (3 shelves). More than once, the plastic jars of McCormick
spices, due to centrifugal force when closing, some spice jars have
jumped the retaining lip and quietly fall onto the unoccupied out of
sight cabinet floor space. It's deep enough that it can be tough to
reach but I've learned to check it more often.

That and the little "half height" spice jars (a few dozen) in the back
are blocked by the "front row" ones, I have to fish the back rows for a
wanted spice and if not what I wanted, "throw 'em back." Sometimes my
hasty inventory isn't perfect so next thing you know, there are two jars
of cayenne or whatever. :D

Best,

Andy

I absolutely love it. I have double wall ovens. One is self cleaning

Ditto. I've never even considered that function. Didn't know it was
still an option.

It occurred to me (after send was hit in my previous post) that -
maybe that function is good for people who freeze entire casseroles .
They can let it thaw in the oven for a few hours and then the oven
kicks on to bake it.

What a PITA to change the sheets!

You might want to reconsider your posting style. Top posting a
compound, complex, run on sentence without punctuation or
capitalization is really more irritating than your posts are worth,
IMHO. It's just a wall of words.

OB: It seems to me that March is the month you suffer through to
finally get to spring produce. Looking forward to fruit and veggies
that are fresh picked, not green picked and shipped from distant
lands.

Yup. He selected it thinking it would be better for my back. Now I have a
bed I can't comfortably get up on and can't use for more than 2-3 hours.

Ah well! It works nicely for his back ;-)

Well if it were 1990 you could probably look up a stationery store in

haven't seen adding machine paper in over 20 years : D

It depends how you install them, they can also vent to the
