On a 750-mile road trip Thelma drove 103 miles more than Louise. How far did each person drive?

- Explain how you got the answer ( optional )
- YOU CANNOT USE VARIBLES ( ie - no x or y equations )
- The person who answers first will get my vote for best answer.

***HINT - ( of course if you explain how you got the answer, it will boost your chances of getting my vote. )

GOODLUCK!

750 divide it into halves the quotient is 375 (now, they both have 375)

then thelma should have 103 miles more than louise. lets subtract 103 to louise... 375-103=272.. then in this situation, we need to divide, again the 103 into halves..
103/2=51.5 ... then add it to both parties..
(thelma) 375+51.5=426.5
(louise) 272+51.5=323.5

lets check:
(thelma)426.5
+
(louise) 323.5
_____
750

(thelma)426.5
-
(louise) 323.5
_____
103

got iT..??? XD

Take 750 and divide in half = 375.

Take half of 103(the difference between the 2) 51.5, and add to 375 = 426.5

Take other half of 103 and minus from 375 = 323.5

426.5-323.5 = 103
426.5 + 323.5 = 750

Thelma - 426.5
Louise - 323.5

If they each frove an equal distance, it would be 375 each. In order for Thelma to drive 103 more than Louise, that means Thelma drove half of that (51.5) MORE than the median (375) and Louise drove 51.5 LESS than the median.
