a questions on acrylic paints?

might sound a silly question to someone who knows the answer!

i just wanted to know if acrylic paint that people use for painting, can the same paint be used for nail art?

before i go out and purchase some i just wanted to know if any one knew if they could be used for both paintings and nails.

acrylic art paint is water based. presumably you need some sort of enamel based nail varnish. also i suspect they may leave a lot of brush strokes
