It's just that I have this friend who has a game cd that I really want to play. I asked him if I could borrow the cd but he said he was using it so he just copied the game using his dvd-writer (or something like that) in the PC. The blank disc he used was a DVD-R.
The question is this: Is it safe to play the game that he copied into the DVD-R when I play it on my PS2 or will it lessen the console's life span? Please tell me the details of what might possibly happen if it's not as safe as playing a game bought from the store. It's just that I'm not having any luck finding the game at all. I like the game a lot, yeah, but I'm just worried that it might damage the PS2 or something.
