A question about Zodiac (2008) SPOILERS

Watched this (so I thought) intently yesterday, really enjoyed it, very interesting. However I am struggling to piece together parts of the movie. Hopefully someone can help...

The movie projectionist, Rick Marshall was it? How is he connected to the story?

Think that's it :)

IIRC - the film connected to the murders, which featured the whole 'most dangerous animal of all' had been shown at a certain cinema, and one of suspects had worked there and made posters, the handwriting on which was thought to be a match for the Zodiac letters.

Robert then goes to the house where the creepy guy (projectionist) lived and it's revealed that he made the posters, not the original suspect.

I think that's right, it wasn't the best explained bit in what is a brilliant film.

Ah ok, I get it now. That part confused me, was very creepy though!

The scene in the hardware store was really intense, you could tell Robert knew it was Arthur Leigh Allen who was the Zodiac, and just knowing that was enough for him, even though he was never convicted.

Also saw it for the first time the other day, it's a really good movie, takes a while to reel you in but by the end it was gripping stuff, especially when you think that it was directly based on Robert Graysmith's books, and unlike a lot of movies based on real cases, they went to great pains to make sure as much of it was factually correct as possible.

It's an excellent movie, really good on the big screen, the attention to detail is amazing and the way it's filmed it really does look like it was made in the 1970s, the colour etc.

It's pretty much lifted straight from the Greysmith book from what I remember, although I'm not entirely sure the creepy projectionist house thing actually happened, been a while since I read Zodiac.

One scene that didn't happen, but was needed and well done, was the final one between Greysmith and the cop in the coffee shop, it was needed to draw all the stranRAB together, but didn't happen.

I saw it in the cinema but just watched my dvd of it last week, it's all very intresting, especially that the handwriting didn't much Arthur Leigh Allen's

Im sure I read last year that there is an extended version of Zodiac due for release? I think its a great movie, really pulls you in - when he was down in Rick Marshall's cellar I was positive something was going to happen.

I had a real problem with Zodiac, on paper I should have loved it but the film bored me to tears. Everyone mumbled their lines throughout the film, it bugged me to death. Maybe I should give it another go.

Also, Robert Graysmith and Paul Avery were not frienRAB in real life, that was fictionalised for the film.

It's the kind of movie I want to watch again just to see if I missed anything the first time.
