A question about verizon phones and contracts?

Ok, you know that "new every two" thing? (with verizon) well lets say you want to renew your contract for two years, but dont want a new phone, now a year after your last two years had expired, you accedently drop your phone out your car window, back up over it, and its broken, now you need a new phone. can you use your discount from the new every two from last year, or could you use it now that you need a new phone?

The new every two is an additional credit towards the purchase of a phone at the 2 year discounted price. its either 50 or 100 and only your main line gets it. If you havent used your upgrade yet you still have retained the same ne2 that you had from 3 yrs ago.
