A question about unlimited texting.

So i think im gona switch to verizon soon and i wanna get unlimited texting. My friend who currently has verizon says that its about $5-10 a month for unlimited multimedia and normal texting to other verizon customers but he isnt totally sure. I am just wondering if this is true or not and if its not true, what is the real cost for unlimited texting to other verizon users and what is the cheapest thing to do for texting. I only really want to text to other verizon customers because all my friends have verizon.

messaging to other verizon customers is called in-texting - I believe that unlimited is $10 if you don't have a plan that already includes unlimited txting.
 
Verizon Text Plans.

$5.00 - 250 text/pic/videos to anyone, any network.
$10.00 - Unlimited IN msges (VZW to VZW) and 500 to any other carrier.
$15.00 - Unlimited IN msges (VZW to VZW) and 1500 to any other carrier.
$20.00 - Unlimited IN msges (VZW to VZW) and 5000 to any other carrier.
(*NOTE* For $20 you can upgrade a basic plan to a select plan and get unlimited text msges to any carrier on a single line plan, or $30.00 for a family share plan.)
 
Hi they also offer calling plans that have unlimited texting along with other stuff. Take a look and see if you are going to use what they offer it might be worth it to sign up for one of those plans.
