I bought a pair of 100 watt Sony speakers for an older Pioneer a/v receiver. (The Sony speakers rock by the way considering they only cost $100.) So I had the stereo turned very loud, and all of a sudden there was no sound (although the headphones still work). Both speakers blew so I figured it was the receiver. I went out and bought a new Yamaha receiver. I hooked it up, and I get hardly any sound from the speakers. It's a tiny sound. Anyways, could something in the old stereo have fried, and it fried the speakers in the process? That's my guess. I am hoping someone can confirm that. Thanks.
