I saw this movie a few years ago and its one of my faves and was glad for the chance to watch it again as i missed a bit first time round and its been bugging me ever since.
Now would you beilve the phone rang last night and i missed the exact same scene again - arrrrrgh!!!
My question is this -
I saw the bit where they find the SLoth victim and omg its def one of the most powerful and disturbing parts of the film, the buidl up to finding him, all the Xmas tree type airfresheners hanging which for some reason i found incredibly disturbing (prob because of such a mundane item being used for such a horrbible purpose) and the part where he turns out to be alive.
But what i missed and have never really got is how did the murderer get him to decompose while still alive in such an effective way? I can understand that being immobile for so long would cause muscle wastage and i know that bedridden patients need to be "turned" frequently but how come the flesh on his face was decayed?
Was this ever explained properaly?
