So I'm an EMS explorer and I have to learn how to take a blood pressure the Auscultation and Palpation way. I've tried multiple times to learn how to by a paramedic and one other person. I've read a million articles on how to take a BP and im just stumped with the part of inflating it 30 mmHg above the last pulse heard. Can someone explain that to me and is it hard for anyone else to hear the stop and start of the pulse. Is this something that really just takes time to get good at? and does anyone have any pointers that would make this easier???? I'm starting to get very frustrated the whole thing is quite confusing for me.
