I will be starting college full time this Thursday. This is my first time going to school since graduating high school eight years ago. I guess Obama passed a law that states if you collected unemployment in 2009, you will automatically receive full tuition for the 2009-2010 school year. Generally, your tuition for 2009-2010 is based on your 2008 income. However, because I collected unemployment in 2009, I was considered to have special circumstances and so my award amount was based upon my 2009 income instead of 2008. So when I apply for 2010-2011 financial aid, it should be based upon my 2009 income - would I still be getting full tuition for collecting unemployment in 2009?
