I want to buy a 1974-1977 Dodge Monaco, and I found a place that has Dodge Monaco's from the years I requested. But I just want to know a few things. One thing is if I ever become a cop and I want to use my own car, which police package will fit the 1974-1978 Dodge Monaco? And my other questions:
How many MPG's does it get?
How much gas does it take?
Horsepower?
Handling?
Does it have ABS and TCS?
How many miles can you drive it for (e.g., I heard the old Checker Cabs can get up to over 500,000 miles)?
Is it a good first car?
Are parts hard to find for it?
No airbags in it, right? ("Just making sure" question)
Any other information would be helpful, too.
I'm asking because I'm getting my permit in a few months and I would like a car for my 16th birthday. (I don't care if it's old or not).
My first sentence says "I want to buy a 1974-1977 Dodge Monaco..."
I forgot to change the 1977 to 1978.
So read it as 1978, just to stop confusion before it starts.
My town is about 1 square mile, so it's pretty small.
And I put the ABS and TCS as a "Making sure" type of question.
