This poem was when my mum left my dad for a total nut job and I was annoyed looking back on what I went through
Playing in the garden, out with all my friends,
I never thought i would ever leave, why did it have to end,
They seemed so happy and content, i thought they were forever,
Until that day wen we had to leave, the day they wern't together.
I begged my mum if we could stay, i cried with all my mite,
But she just said i'm sorry but we have to leave tonight,
Where are we going, she said that's it's a surprise,
I said i didn't want that, she couldn't hear my cries.
I run to daddy and i prayed, but he just looked away,
I told him that i loved him, he said you see me another day,
But i didn't want that, i wanted my old bed,
The tele that we used to watch, they way he kissed my head.
Then as i was hoping, there was a loud knock at the door,
Mum said come on darling, he can't wait anymore,
Mummy please i begged her, i don't want to leave my dad,
She smiled and looked down on me, please don't make me mad.
I got into this big white van, it seemed so big to me,
I felt my hands were shaking, the tears stopped me to see,
I could make out he had white hair, he looked rather tall,
He said it's ok baby, my name is paul.
I didn't like this person, i had a bad feeling about this,
But mummy said he's ok, then gave me a lil kiss,
When we got back to his place, he took through the hall,
And there she was my doggy, i think i'll name her glitterball.
6 months i had my doggy, then she was bad one day,
Chewed behind the fridge, Paul said i'm giving her away,
I screamed and cried for ages, then he turned to me and said,
Get into your room you ungratel bitch and get straight into bed.
I tried to call my mummy, but she never heard me shout,
He laughed and said she won't hear you, she is way out for the count,
Wine i think it was, she drank that all the time,
She would wake up screaming, my head i need more wine,
I thought this hell would never end,
I thought i would be stuck
But then a knock on the front door,
My day had been filled with luck.
My daddy had come back to get me,
I smiled as i walked away,
My mum racing up behind us,
I was back with dad to stay.
