This is a poem I dug up recently. Wrote it about 2 years ago, when I was going through some rough times. My views have since changed, but I still cherish this piece, because it epitomizes what I was feeling back then. It had its place in my growing process.

I don’t care about what you want.
Because we’re all in it for ourselves.
We’re all selfish.
And there’s nothing wrong with that.
So you keep expecting things.
And I'll keep letting you down.
Cus I will not base my life off of what you want.
F*ck what you want.
I'm in this for myself.
Just as your in it for yourself.
