Fatherly love

Am I not what you expect?
Do you hate me now?
Do you want to punch me now?
And am I really that bad?

You thought you knew so much about me,
You thought you could be proud,
Guess i'm not the perfect son, huh?
Guess i'm not like you at all,

Yelling at me from day one,
Expecting me to know it all,
Thinking I wasted my time like you,
Thinking I knew your trade,

I write poems,
I read books,
I draw pictures,
And I play guitar,

You fix houses,
You make websites,
You get girls,
And you break their hearts,

I may be your son,
And you may be my father,
But get this through your head,
We are NOTHING alike

How it said fatherly love made me think it was going to be some boring rhyming thing but oh i was wrong. Great dude..
