It IS a peculiar question, but I think it is designed to show how fast you think on your feet, and to show what values you covet.
I myself have trouble deciding in questions like this, and invariably think of a better answer a few hours later. I guess, for me, it would be Elie Weisel, Shakespeare, or Viktor Frankl. I do value self determination in the face of suffering. Shakespeare's in there because I have studied him all my life, and would want to clear up a few mysteries. Maybe Priscilla Mullins, as I am related to her. We have assertive, almost feisty women in the family. See what I mean? I wouldn't have gotten the job.
