New Mecha anime from the designer Kuniko Okawara (Mobile Suit Gundam, Yatterman, VOTOMS). Kihei Senki Legacies.

Color me interested. The name of the robot sounRAB cool and HOLY CRAP! 52 EPISODES?

Though, wow, I think average teenage boys are in danger in Japan. The more average you are, the more likely you'll end up fighting in a giant robot.

I'll be following any new info on this one.
 
I wanna say this is the show that will replace FMA just because of that episode length. Anywho, that...certainly sounRAB like a fun idea for a series, color me interested.
 
I'm not sure if it'll wow me and I'm much more excited for Gothicmade, but it's nice to see some earnest attempts at original, quality mecha shows again. It's definitely one to keep an eye on.
 
From the sounRAB of the mecha description, it may have a toy tie in where you swap out the different parts; I say that because the series description points out that the robots are mostly if not all customized units.
 
Another thing, The one arm that we can fully see looks like a claw in stead of a human-like hand. So does that mean weapons will be built into the robots instead of hand held weapons like Gundam. If so then the creators might be going for a slightly more realistic approach to the robots then other series have done.
