I watched it and really liked it! I don't however think it's anything like WHMS.

Hehe. I really found that adorable. :D

I totally love when she saids this:

"Smile! You're here with me."

It was something like that. It was cute. :)

Oh, I know right, I adore him in his romantic comedies or just some of his comedies....

I am so excited for this one, it looks so romantic.

i saw this movie in theatres with my friends when it came out and I thought it was okay. Definetely funny, but some parts weren't appropriate for a 13-yr old. lol

This film is definitely NOT a romantic comedy, or comedy, period. It is a drama and once again, the marketing is (was) completely off.

It is a okay movie, but very uneven in a lot of places. It is obvious it is a mix between "When Harry Met Sally" and a few others and I think this is why it is uneven. One minute you are laughing at some good, off-the-wall dialogue (like the "crazy pills" scene), but then the next scene is like a completely different movie that has nothing to do with romance (Oliver's career subplot) and I think this is where most of the problems lie: It doesn't know how to balance these two things together like other films do.

We know romantic dramas/comedies are predictable. What makes them unpredictable is the journey getting to the end result. Unfortunately, I think A Lot Like Love was trying to hard to be unpredictable, but then fell into the trap of being just that: Predictable... Because when everything is so "unromantic" nothing stands out because it isn't a romantic movie anymore. Does that make sense?

I havent seen this movie yet.... but i willr ent it... But i must say i grew to love ashton in romantic comedies.... I dont know what is i couldnt reallyt take him seriously in that 70's show but i can when he is doing movies...

Hi millivanilli

Ty is definitely supercute. :) He is probably best known for having starred as Huck Finn in the Broadway revival of Big River.

Besides A Lot Like Like Love, he also has a role in an upcoming movie called The Family Stone with Claire Danes and Sarah Jessica Parker.

I think A Lot Like Love looks good. I like that it's trying to be different. I hope Amanda and Ashton have chemistry.

Romantic comedies are hard to evaluate b/c they're by and large crowd pleasers and predictable--but that's the genre. There are some that I've loved: Hitch comes to mind as a recent example. And others that were only so-so: The Wedding Date and Maid in Manhattan.

Judy :cat:

That was one stellar kiss!

I also loved the ending kiss where he just shoved her up against the car! :sigh:

:sigh: yea, its like an episode of the OC, when marissa is at Oliver's (wow, weird name coincidence), and she thinks shes gonna be alone, then ryan shows up at 3 seconds, and grabs her:D

:lmao: Tasha.

And I totally love when:

[sp]She couldn't find oliver and they were counting down. She didn't have anyone to kiss until the last minute - Oliver grabs her and kisses her! :D :sigh:[/sp]

:lmao: When you highlight the sighing smilie... it looks like a bird!

his sister is hilarious.

oliver? youre such a diiiick! come on, we'll start without him!!

That was her mother's grave, right?

Omg, the sister was hilarious with her "You're such a dick!" throughout, lol. :lmao:

i wont spoil anything, but theres a certain part i thought was so cute, and it has to do with a cemetary...you'll know what im talking about when you see it:)

:yay: im getting it tomorrow too!!

The reviews are kinda okay. But I don't really trust the critics. Every time I encounter a romantic comedy I like, they say it's bad.

I went to see it yesterday and I absolutely LOVED it.

Ashton and Amanda have great chemistry with one another. I've always liked Amanda Peet ever since she was on that WB show Jack and Jill a few years back. I'm kind of indifferent towards Ashton [Kutcher]. He's alright and he was great in this movie.

I love the part in the movie at the New Years party where Oliver comes and kisses Emily right in time when all the other couples were kissing. I have to say the ending was my favorite part with him kind of shutting her up, pushing her against the car and kissing her. Loved that! :D
