I'm writing a book and I love the book long, but some stories i believe need to be in a separate volume but i do not want to split it up. 216,000 words, possibly magazine format, and please don't tell me it can't be done. People enjoy long books and long books tend to be a favorite. it takes me so long just to write 60 pages and i want to do a series but I do not want to split up the book, it makes me feel like I cheated. I have written this collection of short stories in 3 years and its unfinished. There are not many long short story collections, and my book is 600 pages in garamond font (12 and 11) with a few pictures. should i split it up in a series, or keep it long or just start on the second book and keep it long? My research proves that long books seem to be better because they deliver, but my book is a short story collection. does it count? and yes, i know people love to carry books around, and my book would make a perfect airplane travel companion. Help this poor writer.
