I've been here for a few years, still can't figure out a few things. I get reported and have recieved violations for the most innocuous answers but I still don't know how to dispute these . . . .

are any actual humans involved on the other side of this site? I do not even know how to figure out what was deleted or what caused the violation in most cases.

When you get a violation notice appeal it if you are certain it is not a violation. Be polite and say why it is not a violation, never ask why. don't say others get away with it just be succinct in your explanation of why it's not a violation.

It's easier to win an appeal when it says you have been reported by the community rather than the Violation notice one as that is from staff removing it.

When you get a violation, Yahoo sends you an email with the violation info and a very general reason. That email has a link to appeal the violation. You can also use the form referenced.

Yes, there are real people reviewing these and if you lose an appeal, it is best to try to find out why. If you want to know the reason for the violation, post "Why was this question (answer) a violation?" and add the original e-mail you got so the users can see the exact context. The experienced users here will explain it to you.

When you appeal politely explain why your QorA was proper. You may want to ask the other users to review to make sure it was not an actual violation.

yes, this is the deep/dark secret of YA.
Seems that terrible TROLLS come onto the site and remove questions and answers they do not like.
The abuse Yahoo to the point it's almost as bad as Google answers. LOL

But keep your chin up. and get a 2nd Yahoo email account. They cannot always lurk and attack you.

Good luck, sempei.
