I just joined this forum because i need to hear from some Ducati owners. I bought an '06 Sportclassic monposto about a year and a half ago. I love this bike beyond belief. But... Approaching 3000 miles last summer i started having some problems. First the bike started running like complete a$$! Misfiring, idle hunt, carbon fouling the plugs, like 5 miles to the gallon! The dealer I got it from had put a full Termingioni system and ECU on the bike before I got it. I took it to the dealer and after about a month they discovered a bad ECU, which they said was common. Got it back and after about 20 miles it died completely. Towed back to the dealer and they found a fuel line fell off in the tank! Got it back again and about 1000 miles later the battery died. Seemingly to soon to need a battery I charged and tested and floated it and it seemed to be good. About 30 miles and a few starts later the bike wouldn't turn over again, and not after sitting, at the end of a ride when i stalled it putting it away. I am getting scared about the reliability of this bike but I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Now after reading some forums and reviews I am starting to worry about the internal workings of the motor, valve train, etc. Somebody tell me it's going to be OK please!
