a little bike help please?

i'm getting my bike license soon and i need some help deciding what bike i should get for my first 2 years? smth not too expensive that i can save up myself and less than 200cc as i plan to upgrade later on. recommend some brands people? i've heard of the honda phantom and the bajaj pulsar. if you could recommend some others it'd be great, thanks :)
 
honda rebel 250 is a nice beginner bike and you can find them used in good shape because other people do the same thing your talking about
 
You realize that YA is an international forum, so if you don't say what country you live in it is tough to recommend what would be a good choice for you. Because where I live neither the pulsar or the phantom are available. So I could tell you about bikes like a dr200 or an xr230 that are not available where you live, but what good would do.

So let's have your home country and we can go from there.
