A level history help please!?

english lit and history are completely different subjects although there is a lot of writing involved in history

you can do any subject as long as you got at least a C in it at gcse level ...which is hard since u didnt do gcse history but if ure interested in it then why not if it appeals to you keep it no matter of ur gcse english grade but if u dont quickly decide so that you can change it while you still can
 
I am doing history for A level. I didn't take it for GCSE but i thought i got a B in english literature so that's why i got to take it. I got home today and looked at my GCSE results but i actually got a B in English Language not literature. I already had 2 lessons in history today. Does it matter that i got it wrong and could i still do history even though i got a C in english literature.
