A lesser of two evils?

Do you think it is more exceptable to download music from musicians who have died? Or do you think it is just as bad to download their music as people who are just making it now? Or do you think it is not bad at all? I tend to think that downloading someone like Elvis' music who has died, or Mozart, is a lesser of two evils. I'm against music piracy only to protect the artist and not because of the RIAA. Therefore, when the artist is dead I don't really have a problem with it. What do you think?

I agree. Its less acceptable if they are dead. they should come to an agreement with the piracy of music. Maybe meet at a value, (say 5 bucks) for both downloaded music and CD's purchased in stores. Let me know what you think.

even if every single person inthe world downloaded songs, rockstars, popstars, and the majority of large musicians who are complaining about music downloaRAB would still be rich, and own more ferraris than we ever will...they're just greedy and they need to suck up the fact that p2p sharing cannot be stopped....the only artists i feel bad for are those who arent on a big label, and have no means to fill enormous stadiums of people to see them perform. we need to support THEM and buy their cRAB...but i think it's acceptable to download all these big banRAB songs because they make so much money from enorsements and touring alone

I think its not nearly as bad to d/l dead people's music..the only people who are losin' money there are the family merabers who didn't do much to deserve it...

I think that most musicians who are no signed, me included, want people to download, burn, share all of the music they have. If you are locked into the idea of making money on CD sales, you are going to be disappointed
