I'm looking for the name of a film I saw as a child in the eighties. Basically, all I remember was it was a live actor who walked into something and became a cartoon, as did his world around him.

I think it's based on a book, pretty sure I'd read the book before seeing the film, the name Milo stuck in my head because I'd never heard that name before
