A Hello and a Debaffling Question

RIP Billy Mays

Hello everyone, I'm new to the group. I'm 28 from south Georgia and I just purchased a 2006 Boulevard C50 a few weeks ago and I'm considering debaffling it, but I want to ask if debaffling the bike will cause any damage (short or long term)??

Thanks in advance,
Chris

No damage, but i did it on mine and didnt like it at all. I bought some stock ones off of ebay and went back to stock.

Welcome!
Do a search for debaffling and you will find many threads and a lot of info on the subject.
Personally, I wouldn't do it. I would buy new pipes and have the option of going back to stock.

:welcomes:

IMHO Better to go with some good aftermarket pipes.
I debaffled mine and am going w/ some Vance & Hines Cruzers very soon. I really don't care for the the dbaff'd TOO LOUD for my old ears.
But that's just me, YMMV.

I love the sound on De-Baffled pipes but I bought a set of Stock Pipes on ebay to debaffle which were cheaper than After-Market. Until your warrenty is up, I won't ruin your stock pipes.

Thank you all for all the input! I went ahead and ordered some Cobra drag pipes and the fuel processor to go with it. That way if something goes wrong I can throw the originals on and get the work done under the warranty.

Welcome to the forum Chris. If you wanted to run debaffled make sure you don't get pulled over by the police cause lots of times they will check to see if you have baffles or not and if it is not baffled you may get a ticket for exccessive noise.( Even though it does sound freaking cool. LOL)
