A Harry Potter cartoon - could it work?

Just don';t use the original early 1990s Warners animation writers else they'll have this!
hARRY: Hello, Nurse. Polka, dot?
HERMIoNE: Glady..HEY, MY NAme is so not dot.
RON: "Look, I'm Ringo Starr"

Leave the Potter gang be themselves (if it was done, it would have to be serious, not Roger Rabbit like as the Tiny Toons generaiton ws, and they would need Hanna Barbera sound FX, not Looney Tunes ones ;))

Animaniacs was just about over by the time the first HP book was released in this country, so there was no chance of any type of spoof.

And either way, your argument makes no sense, Steve Carras. Why would WB Animation turn a potential HP series in an Animaniacs-like comedy series?

I'm surprised that this hasn't been attempted yet, but I'm not sure what would work better, a DTV series or a TV series? And what would they animate? Would they adapt the books, or go off on their own? Base it on an original character or side character?

But.. the Birds of Prey are an actual comic book team in the DC universe, that's not a very good example. DC Universe is not all about Batman.

Anyway, I guess it could work, but what's the point now that the fad is all over? I assume it was never made either because Rowling didn't like the idea, or she couldn't get much creative control for it.

I would make a point of watching a Harry Potter cartoon like that :D. If nothing else, they'd avoid the accusation that they were just revamping the books and movies again.

A Harry Potter cartoon might have worked... in 2004.

Aside from the rest of the movies, Harry Potter seems like a dead franchise.
