A guy wrote something in my yearbook and I'm not quite sure what he's trying to say.

Help? Background info: we usually talk and laugh with each other in science and social studies, and way back in the first semester he was my assigned partner for a mock trial where we were both attorneys. He didn't have an opening speech so he kind of just stood there. he was embarrassed but we laughed about it later and he would tease me about how his "speech" was way better than mine. Here's what he wrote in my yearbook a couple days ago:

My opening speech for the trial was 10 times better than yours. i was amazing.

it means that he is much better than you, so much better in fact that he must let you know in numerical values. or he's really in to you and wanted to embed something so deep into the back of your mind that it would consume you to the point to where you had to ask complete strangers for clarification. it worked if this is the case and his strategic seed was planted successfully. and the other possibility is that he was just joking and meant nothing by this trivial comment he just used it as casual humor. whatever it was it has now gotten a hold of me and will be etched in my mind too.

U like to analyze stuff, don't you?

It's a joke between the two of you. Inside joke. Whether it is funny or not, I don't know. However, you must have some sort of thing for this guy, since you need to analyze this.

Like you said, you joke about it all the time. That's exactly what he was doing

sorry, but i don't think this means anything. I think that he's talking to you as a good good friend, and that's it. If you like him, why don't you write a cute note on his yearbook?

usually when people inside jokes(which you clearly have one with him) or don't know what to say about somebody this is what you would write. I would have written the same thing. if you were trying to find a hidden love message, its not there.
have a good summer. ;)

He is just bringing up a shared memory the two of you had. Don't know what you were hoping for, but it is probably nothing. It means as much if he were to write "Remember when Billy sneezed and farted at the same time in Math class? That was so funny! "

Like I said, I don't know what you were hoping for, he wrote in your yearbook and that is it.
