A guy who is 31, doesn't date, and watches sports all the time is their a problem?

Ok I like this guy..
But he doesn't seem interested in dating me or anyone else.
I've known him for about 6 years, and have never seen him date anyone.
He talks about sports constantly.
When football season was over i said to him "oh no, what are you going to do now"
and he laughed and said "i'll have to watch baseball now, and basketball"
i mean.. ughh.. he's so sweet and nice, i wish there was someway i could take him out or something..

maybe he's been hurt in the past or something?

and no he's not gay, he's very straight.

help me out here.
 
Ya I'D say he has been hurt bad in the past or is just content with his life and feels no need to complicate it with a woman and drama ? My lil brother is that way he likes to do what he wants and is content with no gf and prob wont have one for a long time ! loves his freedom
 
some guys don't feel they have much self worth (me) and doesn't feel he has much to offer a potential mate... me... out of work and tending to be a perpetual student trying to find work.
