A guy asked me to a camp dance... But he just broke up with his girlfriend!?

Hey. Alright so this guy I have liked for 2 years now had this evil girlfriend. I was going to IM him, and I was going to ask him to this dance at a sleepaway camp we are both going to go to. Coincidentally, he asked me the second before I pressed enter. I said, "I don't want to make your girl sad" and he said "She told me to ask you" I didn't believe it though. But I said yes anyways. Two days after that, the girl dumped him. He is kinda over it, but should I still go with him?
