A good touch screen laptop, monitor, or pad for digital art?

I do a lot of drawing, and in the last year or so, have started drawing into programs on my computer via a 9"x12" usb tablet. I like my tablet, but it leaves a lot of guess work because I can't see what I'm drawing on screen on the tablet, and I end up having to draw something 4-5 times until it matches. I'm aware that there are laptops (HP Touchsmart series), touch pads (3M Microtouch display and others), and monitors (From lower grade Dell's, to $1,300 Adesso LCD touch screen tablets) all capable of being able to display what I'm working on while I work on the screen itself instead of the tablet. I'm wondering what some other digital/graphic artists use to do their work on the computer and what some of you would suggest getting.

There is such a device that we designers and illustrators use. It's called a Cintiq. While there are many options like you said for an lcd touch screen, the Cintiq is the preferred device among most of us. It comes in either a 12 or 21 inch active display and works the same as a traditional pressure sensitive tablet. The differences obviously is you can see what you're doing.

Check it out here.
