A good online debate site?

I'm looking for a good site to debate with people.(over politics, culture, rights ect.) Are there any out there that are more along the lines of you have one or two people to debate against on an issue (not every person on the site) But other people can read and comment on your debates, but they aren't part of the actual debate. When seven people are all in the same debate it turns into more of a shouting/typing match. And where preferable you have like 24 hours to respond to the person your debating against, so that way I can participate in any debate and not just the ones open when I'm on the computer.

My school doesn't have a debate club b/c I'm the only one who would join it :( But I love debating and expressing my views on stuff, and I'm so sick of posting stuff on yahoo just to have some one post something totally rude back (EX: well your just stupid)

That's a hard one. I was going to say create a chat room, but that would probably be the same as yahoo answers. However, there maybe chat rooms out there that you can have a good debate that don't tolerate rude behavior and insults. You might want to check around for that. Good luck.

I know what you mean, I am getting turned off by Y/A too. Who wants to be insulted all the time.....it is getting ridiculous.
