a good Film with a twist

I much prefer it when I go into a film without knowing there's a twist. Asking us to offer up some great twist films (Twister - fnar) will surely mean you watch the whole film guessing?

Just me, maybe.
Memento and Usual Suspects are my poisonal faves.
 
I think knowing that there's a twist beforehand spoils it a bit, even if you don't know what the twist is, you're still looking for one, and it changes the way you watch the film.

I watched one recently that had a great twist. I'm not telling you which one though. :)

I absolutely agree with that.Having someone say that there is a twist ending is a spoiler in my opinion,and I totally hate spoilers.

I remember that from twenty something years ago......

-"Whoa man.The last scene in Carrie.What a shocker.........

But of course when you see it,you've already guessed what's going to happen anyway.It just doesn't have the intended effect therefore.

I sincerely apologize if anyone has not seen Carrie and I have spoiled the ending........!!!

The Village has a number of really neat twists in it's final third, although it was a bit of a marmite film (i.e. you either love it or hate it - I loved it!)

Plus it features some of the most beautiful cinematography you'll ever see!! :)
 
Memento is a personal favourite - I only watched it recently with a friend and have now added it to my list of "must buys". Superb stuff and Guy Pearce is excellent
 
i suppose if you don't want horror, Down with Love could be thought of as having a twist in it.

It's just a bit strange really, but I didn't see what was coming (maybe it was just me and my frienRAB though)
 
I bought The Life of David Gale just to make up the number for a bargain price and it's great. I don't really like Russell Crowe who stars in it but I loved the film and I'd recommend it.

I'd also recommend a look at Identity although it's more of a classic thriller. The plot is a bit like Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None" with some good twists.

And then there's The Game, starring Michael Douglas and Sean Penn.

Douglas plays a rich millionaire who has everything. His life is a bit boring. And then his brother, Penn, gives him a card with a telephone number on it and tells him: You can either stay boring, and stay safe, or you can ring that number. But if you do ring it, you're responsible for what happens, do you understand?

Of course, Douglas does ring the number...I won't tell you what happens after that; just take a deep breath, and hang on!

I beleive it's on TV this week, actually.
