A Good Camping Dog? ***10 Points***?

Ok I have already asked this but I want more answers!
What dog would:

*Be able to go on long hikes in Smokey Mountain Terrain.(summer about 90 degres, but we wont go hiking in the bad temps! Winter 0 degres)

*Go swimming in the lake with me

*Be very loyal
and
*Offer at least SOME protection for me :)

I can't think of a better dog than a lab!

Lovely, intelligent dogs;I cant think of a more loyal corageous animal.

They enjoy exercising and mine absolutely adores going on hikes.They make the best happy outdoor companions. They will follow you to the ends of the earth happily. This makes them good protectors, too.

They do well in a range of climates.
They also love love to swim, and will make great swimming buddies.

I brought mine camping in Wisconsin, and he followed me everywhere. He loved exploring, swimming, and going in the woods.

\We actually live in california where it gets up to 120 degrees sometimes. They make OK hot weather dogs, so 90 degrees shouldnt be that bad( make sure they dont spend TOO much time in the sun and get enough water, though!).
