A friend of mine and i have fallen out, (before you ask i have tried phoneing and texting for a long time now he just doesnt answer or respond.) Before we fell out i let him put his car in my garden as it had no tax or m.o.t and he declared it as sawn. This was approx 2-3 months ago. Now i am being very honest i did nothing to fall out with him it was all him. Anyway i sent several texts around 27/12/10 asking him to remove car before 31/12/10 as i needed my yard back. Since then i have been threatend to have my house emptyed, and "have the boys sent round" and i have asked him not to give my address or phone number out but he has to loads of people. i have had texts from different people claiming they own it and will pick it up, but they never show, then a new number texts saying its someone else and that they are picking it up but they never show, i have come to the conclusion that they are only doing this to check if the car is in my yard still as when i gave them deadline (31/12/10) i said if it is moved then i will report it and have it moved. Random thugs turn up at my door banging on it, my partner does not answer as he is very intimidated by this. but when he looks out window when someone turns up there is no lorry/wagon/tug in sight. so why are they here? The car is a nice sports car worth a few quid and takes up the whole of my yard. I just dont know what to do we are all in our 20's and the people who are involved are not nice people i have been told. I have saved all received and sent txts to my phone. I feel if i go to the police it will only inflame the situation. i dont want any trouble at my door and i dont know how we got caught up in this. We have only been in this house since oct 2010 and we love it, but i have considered moving because of this. Its always on my mind and makes me ill. its just not fair, we have done nothing wrong, not even been nasty when been threatend. Also i feel that if there is someone who can move it (i think a civil enforcement officer from the council might, but not sure, help?) then this also brings alot of trouble too my door and i really do not want this. Im happy at this house, im a nice guy. whys this happening to me? I obviously do not have keys to the car and the handbrake is on and it been left in gear so it cant be moved by me or a few of us, the car also doesnt start. Please help me i am at my wits end, everytime theres a knock at the door, when we are both at work im worried at the house being robbed. what can i do? and remember i dont want any trouble if possible. Thanks for any help or advice you can give me. Also if you can help me with potential companys/organisations who help in this situation to remove the car then i would be very grateful.
