Ok here's the deal, i was accepted into the IBEW apprenticeship program about 7 mnths ago and had assumed that i would already be working by now in that, but i havent, i havent even started yet so i called the Apprenticeship and they said that i was on the list and scored very well but for some reason work was very slow and they were having trouble finding work for the people that were already in the program, so thats got me thinking and kindof nervous because i was under the impression that you pretty much always got 40 hr's plus a week once you started working?? so i guess my ? is which trade is the best to go into as far as pay and availible work, because even if one pays alot more but theres no work then the pay doesnt really matter. so do plumbers or electricians have more work availible??? plus who actually makes more???? and finally which on is the best when trying to start your own business as far as work and pay to expense ratio??? thanks alot for any help you can give!!!
