SO my first question is:
Can temperature and humidity affect subwoofer/speaker performance? I can't help but think it does. When its warmer outside and a little high in humidity, there's a noticeable difference in the way everything sounds...IN A GOOD WAY. Bass is fatter without adjusting anything, and the music sounds richer as a whole.
Second Question-
I have a sub in my car which means there's virtually no bass in my speakers (except for the mids and the higher frequencies), which in turn means I can turn my volume up pretty loud without distortion. When I turn up my volume to the optimum level, the music can sound very messy and the mids get sort of overwhelming. I found that turning the mids down to about -2 solves this problem. I just want to know if this is normal and if anyone else has experienced this.
Now my LAST QUESTION involves the cut off frequency for my sub. As long as I've had it I have had the crossover set to 200HZ, which is the max on my amp, but I've heard that this deteriorates sound quality and causes the sub to work twice as hard...is this true???? I turned it down to about 140 earlier, but haven't had a chance to listen to it like that yet. I just want to know if there will be a difference in sound quality. Thanks!!!!!!
