A disturbing DVD trend

If you are referring to I Spit On Your Grave you will find the R rated US release is uncut.(as in uncensored)

Although the original title was Day of the Woman and in preparing it for the US exploitation market I believe some dialogue scenes were edited ,but the US version has all the sexual violence ,much of which is cut on the UK 18 version

The full uncut version has recently been shown on BBC3.

The extra pieces are like a scene where they are listening to the morse code, and that Jordan character says what are they saying and seagal says 'Get me the F*** out of here' and the most obvious is the last fight scene where he sticks the knife direct in his head before the monitor.

POriginally the dialogue was edited to something different, and the last scene was slightly cut.

There is more but can't be bothered listing all.

It's not just violence that gets cut sometimes though, was round a mates house once and he put a dvd of Ally McSqueal on,compared to what I'd seen on The Adult Channel it was cut to bits, one episode had over five minutes missing!

Me and my mate were watching Commando on R2 DVD the other day and the scene on the plane where he snaps the blokes neck was removed!
They kept the punch in but from memory I'm sure he proceeRAB in breaking his neck!
So in this version a swift punch to the face kills him. The funny thing was they kept the Circular saw to the head scene in which is nearly always removed on T.V.

As with almost all UK DVRAB, Edward ScissorhanRAB is exactly the same on DVD as was is in the UK cinema release. It is 15 second shorter than the US release, but I can't find out what those edits were.

I know all that! What I'm saying is that scenes which had been shown on The Adult Channel (as in the regular Sky Channel 901) were missing from the dvd (which was an 18 btw and not an R18).
