A CGI Looney Tunes movie idea

If WB ever decides to make a live-action CGI movie with the Looney Tunes characters in the wake of Garfield or Chipmunks, etc., would the public go for it? Or would that creep people out?

If the amount of stink which was raised at the announcement of a live-action/CGI Marvin the Martian movie last year was any indication, then I'd have to say a good portion of the public wouldn't go for it.

Might be fun if you made it a partial spoof of current trends:

Daffy: "Oh, bruddah! So this is the new trick, eh? A bajillion polygons in my beak alone, but what's the script like?" *cue Everybody Dance Now number* "...Made for the ages, ladies and gentlemen"

It would be called one of the worst films of all time, and would eventually end up with the same cult status as other "so bad it's good" films such as Manos and Troll 2.

With all seriousness though, I think it's safe to say that nobody wants a CGI Looney Tunes movie.

Personally i'd hate it. Looney tunes works best imo as a 2d cel animation or at least as a 2d animation in traditional style if not method.

Well I think that Bob Clampett would turn in his grave.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did those though, haven't they already on direct to DVD movies?

There haven't been any new plans for a live-action/animated Looney Tunes movie, no. But Warner Bros. is still using the characters in new projects - since 2003, we've had "Duck Dodgers", "Daffy Duck for President", "Loonatics Unleashed" (which I'd rather forget, but still), the direct-to-DVD Bah Humduck, and now a currently unnamed TV project that's in the early stages of development. After all, they have to do something with the characters if they can't air the classic cartoons on television.

I could actually picture this happening. If he's complaining to J.L., it would be even better!

Anyway, to answer you question, let me ask you this in questions in a jerkish CBG fashion. Is "Back In Action" and "Space Jam" beloved by public forums, and would they like it even better if the LT become CGI characters? Would you like to see even more complaining from the fans? Would you like it if we basically get something like Space Jam again? Heck, do even you yourself like the idea?

I rest my case.

No, no CGI. It's bad enough that Disney's already forcing their beloved characters into that sort of thing via their DTV's/pre-school shows. WB doesn't need to follow suit.
