Since in you are in India, the right most lane is for overtaking. If you are in the right lane of the two laned road and if someone asks you for a pass by blowing horn, you should
1. Turn on your left indicator
2. At appropriate time ( when no other vehicle is coming speedily onto your left) switch to your left lane.
3. Turn off your indicator.

Not in the US I presume. To me using the horn is like someone giving me an obscene gesture. I see no quarrel in letting them pass if you so move to drive your car off the road, but you can't do that forever for everybody. Stay on the road and if they want to pass let them take the chance.
