A candy buffet at wedding reception?

Have you ever been to a wedding reception where there was a candy buffet? Is the candy buffet in place of the wedding favors that would typically be put on the tables for the guests? I absolutely love the idea of a candy buffet, especially since *I* absolutely love candy. There will be a lot of children at our wedding and I figured that it would be a huge hit! :o) What are your opinions on them? If you don't know what it is, look it up!
 
The answer to your question is yes, most often a candy buffet replaces the more traditional wedding favors.
Candy buffets work particularly well when you have given some thought to the range of guests you will have - this way they get to choose their "reward" for attending by selecting their favorites from your buffet. If you can have some candy they haven't seen for ages or had as a kid it makes their memory of your day even more vivid!
And when there's loads of kids attending, yours will be the best wedding they remember:biggrin:
