A call from the U.S. Army?

There was a number on my caller i.d. from "U S ARMY RECUI" , they didn't leave a message. What the heck is that? Kinda scares me because my son will be 18 in less than 4 months. Do you think that it could really be a call from army recruiters or nothing to worry about? The area code was a local number. Please, only serious opinions about this. Thank you.

If you show opposition to this, I bet your son joins the military within the next two months. If this scares you, you are going to have to figure out a way to deal with it.

they can't make him join...so you have nothing to worry about. but recruiters from all branches go to high schools and "talk" to the kids. they usually get numbers and try to recruit them.

Yes it was from a recruiter. Make sure your son registers for selective service. They just want to talk to him about the military. If you son isn't intrested just let them know if they call again.

They are probably asking around to see if you or your son is intrested in joining the Army, they cant force you to join...

Yea, army recruiters are able to get the phone numbers of all graduating hs students. Nothing to worry about...He can't draft your son, though they can be pretty darn convincing about how awesome the army is.
