A British army brigadier has asked people to stop sending Christmas

presents to soldiers in Afghanistan, why ? He said that they didn't have the logistics to cope and that they needed their helicopters and transport for war fighting. This will be a real morale booster at a time when the servicemen see the opposition to the war growing on TV and the commitment to the war being increasingly questioned. I'll bet the Americans have no such problems. Should the children in need campaign be re-named servicemen in need in order to buy the British government a few more helicopters, its obvious that this is all the result of this lot sending our lads to war without sufficient equipment,.... yet again !

Yes, maybe it is a morale booster, but we have to put safety and the mission first, and I agree that it must be annoying to not have access to helicopters when you need them just because they're ferrying Christmas presents around.
