A book for Carlisle and Esme Cullen?

Lets just say I have been out of contact with the real world for the last 4 years (focusing on my career and all). So after much persuasion from a few friends, I went out and got the dvd of twilight the movie. I thought it was average at best...but I fell in love with the Carlisle character.
I started to research the book (which I haven't read) and just thought how much I would love to read a romance novel focused on this doctor and his great love Esme. I dunno but he just seems like a better, deeper and more mature version of Edward ..there is just something about him.
Does anyone agree or is it just me?

it would be a nice idea to get a whole book on how the cullens came about. as you only really get a brief explanation during the books.
 
I agree with you. I find Carlisle much more appealing than Edward and Bella (not to mention Kristen Stewart's same expression through the entire movie). All of the characters are very rounded but even within the books Stephanie Meyer is vague on their pasts but the details she does give make you want to read their stories (which at one point why she was going to come out with books from Edwards POV). I think they would indeed give a better insight to not only Carlisle but Jasper as well.
 
yeah... that would definately be interesting... like a story of all the characters and their love. i'd read it... i ♥ twilight
 
It's just you. Read the books though Carlisle is very important and he comes up a lot, plus in Twilight it gives u a glimpse of his VERRRY Important history!!! u will luv the books if u like carlisle (the hotty docta as i and my frndz call him lol!)
 
Yeah, you should totally read the book. The movie was a MASSIVE dissapointment, really cheesey and commercialised and did the book no favours. And have you seen the trailer for New Moon? Its so bad, its all 'you're my only reason to live.....' GASP. And the charcters are just like any movie, they're NOTHING like they're supposed to be. I mean, i was in no way charmed by Edward's constant moody face in the film. And bella is supposed to be clumsy??? And they're in love, i mean, lighten up! The whole point is that bella doesn't mind! Sorry. Back to the question, yes i agree. the book details a bit of their past but not enough! Sorry i rambled on so much, it's just so stupid!!
