A bit obsessed...Ever done this?

So I took my Fiancee to pick up a painting we had purchased from a gallery the week prior and while we were out I thought we should grab some drinks/appetizers. We are getting ready to get married so we had a bunch of important wedding stuff we needed to talk about and I figured what better place to do it then outside by the water at a nice restaurant. We ordered drinks and started getting into the details, times, seating arrangements, schedule of events, blah blah blah , when all the sudden I heard it...It was the most beautiful sound, although I couldnt tell what direction it was coming from, the powerful rumble and the clutch noise instantly gave it away. As important as the conversation was I, out of reflex, stopped her mid-sentence to exclaim "I hear a DUCATI!"... She looked at me, kinda like WTF , but also accepting me as what I am..a Ducatista, lol! Sure enough, a red hypermotard raced around the corner from behind a building. She looked at me, laughed and continued on...but lets be honest...from that point on I didnt hear another word she said. All I wanted to do was go home, get my bike and ride!!!

Needless to say, no sex for me that night...

Although I am not a Ducatista yet, I can relate.

Whenever I wasn't riding and heard a motorcycle nearby, time would seem to stop while I was scanning and listening for the motorcycle.

Of course you top it of by saying the manufacturer and any type of modification the bike had...........well.......... not really, but you know what i mean.

Yeah, people who don't ride think it's strange, but I love it

...I hear you....I don't have a girlfriend so I can actually dream, look, hear and ride my motorcycle pretty much anytime...drawback is that all my nights are without sex though...

Once you're hooked on the Ducati sound...its all over. If you're not listening to the engine and clutch rattle, life is without joy, food doesn't taste right, beer...

...well, is still beer.

Well, just remind her you have the rest of your life to listen to her, and she talks all the time anyway, but hearing a Ducati is special.

It won't help with the no sex that night thing though.

I sure wish that there were some Ducati's around here, for me to listen to!! All I hear is 4X4 trucks with straight pipes. I have to get on youtube to hear a Duc!!

My girlfriend rides too, and is just about as good at hearing a Ducati coming from a mile a way as I am. Needless to say I get a pass everytime I have to cut her off mid-sentence and say"...I hear a Ducati coming!" She usually hears it too, and stops talking to look for it anyway. I've got an awesome girl, and don't have to suffer from the sexless nights that way either!

Another fun game we play is when we see a pack of sportbikes ride by and she'll quiz me on what each one of them was right down to the years, and displacement. I'm usually spot on!

When I first started dating my current girl, she would get pissed when I would zone out when ever a sportbike drove by. Then I bought a Ducati and she rode on the back exactly 2 times before she took a riding class and bought her own bike...a Ninja 250. A few weekends ago when SBK was here, I took her to Ducati Island and she fell in love with the Monster and told me that I needed to add to my collection and get the Hypermotard. Can you believe some woman actually wants her significant other to get ANOTHER motorcycle?!?!?!
