with the horizontal. It accelerates at? A 875 gm block slides down an inclined plane that makes an angle of 30° with the horizontal. It accelerates at 1.5 m/s2.
a) What is the coefficient of friction between the block and the plane?
b)Find the magnitude and direction of the total force exerted on the block by the plane. For the direction, give the angle as measured counterclockwise from the vertical (in degrees).
c)What are the magnitude and direction of the force exerted on the plane by the block? For the direction, give the angle as measured counterclockwise from the vertical (in degrees).
I am having a hard time trying to figure out these friction problems and I am not looking for the answer so much as how to actually solve them.
