I use the term "horror" because when I was a kid it scared the heck out of me, or at least certain scenes, but it might have been funny too.
It was a mixed monster movie that seemed to have a classic feel to it. The only scene I clearly remember is when a man is walking his dogs through town and is attacked by a monster that seemed like a monkey - but could have been a werewolf - his dogs take off scared but eventually come back. As they're licking their master's hands you notice that his hands have grown hair and his nails have grown darker and longer and he's now turned into a monster. His dogs take off again.
The rest of the movie had all these different monsters at a party dancing where the werewolf-man and monkey thing are seen again.
Sorry but that's all I can remember. It's been at least 15 years. lol
