...gravitational potential energy of? A 190 N child is in a swing that is attached to ropes 2.00 m long. Find the gravitational potential energy of the child-Earth system relative to the child's lowest position at the following times.

when the ropes make a 28.0° angle with the vertical

answer=44.5 J

I don't understand how to do this. What I did was 2cos(28)*190, because that is mgh, but that did not yield the answer.
 
190 * (2 - (2 cos(28 degrees))) = 44.5 J

For this problem, its really asking you to find the height "h" the child has traveled once s/he swung to the lowest point

I don't see the person giving me a thumbs down offering an explanation. Coward
