996 & 1098

They are alike in that you can tell they are from the same factory. The 998 was and still is a beautifull bike but the 1098 is an absolute modern work of art. To me there is no comparing the 2. The 1098 is Sex on 2 wheels!!
 
First ride on my 996 was 84miles and my only discomfort was slightly sore wrists. I like the look of the 1098, but parts of it, specifically the front end, remind me less of Duc and more toward the Jap style. Maybe I'm just used to looking at the 996's more disc like nose though.
 
Marlene, don't let Alvin (the admin) see that you have a 996R. He was looking for one...just might try to coax it away from you!

BTW...have you paid for a 6000 mile service yet? Good times.
